
Dr. Ronald K. Castellano

Prof. Castellano received his B.S. degree (chemistry) from Gettysburg College in 1995 and his Ph.D. (organic chemistry) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2000 (with Prof. Julius Rebek, Jr.). For the next two years he was an NSF International Research Scholars Postdoctoral Fellow in the laboratory of the late Prof. François Diederich at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich. Prof. Castellano joined the faculty at the University of Florida in 2002. In UF Chemistry he has served as Head of the Organic Division (2012–2024) and became Department Chair in 2024.
